Writer’s Circle Week One: Principle

The writer’s circle has begun! And with it, a slew of writing (no, duh). The prompt this week was “Principle”
So here’s my poem, you dig.

Principle

You do not touch
You do not smile
You do not taste

You sit, you think.

Illusions deluding, elusive,
Alluding to the mismatched:
You do not talk

You sit, you think.

Right and wrong were
Left written behind, right?
You do not mourn

You sit, you think.

Reasoning with the senses
Sensed since the listless left
You do not smell

You sit, you think.

And in that covered care
You consider the cost:
You do not cower

You sit, you think.

You do not touch
You do not smile
You do not taste

You sit, you think.
